Week 9: Research

This week I did research on blogs so that I can make it more better and get more page views from people  on them. One of the things I found out was that to add more pictures on them for example the food and in front of the restaurant, because on the other blogs I viewed some of them had two to three pictures on the blog. Then I saw that the people with the blogs made things more interesting by adding facts to it like the restaurant all around  and some of the blogs had facts about all the atmosphere for example they had the space of the parking lot, the environment of the city, the customer service, and the atmosphere inside restaurant. Then the bloggers had good pictures about the food that they had bought. The bloggers also had blogs on the specialty that the restaurant has or is having. They also have rated the food by a grading of stars or from the 1-10 range.  They also had a hook to grab the reader to read their blog making it more interesting.

Week 8: Carls Jr Double Western Cheeseburger

A week ago I went to the famous Carl's Jr and tried the Double Western cheeseburger and for the first time i tried it, it was pretty good. I might not be the best fan of onion rings, but they are good inside the burger with bacon, bar-b-q sauce, on two charbroiled patties and on two toasted buns. The Carl's I went to in Orange, across the street from Choc Hospital, I really didn't get good service because when i was taking my order the cashier wasn't really paying attention and they took a long while for my order to come. Overall the burger was a strong eight on my scale out of ten because it could have been a bit better. Also the cost for the burger was about three dollars by itself, but with the combo it was about five dollars. In the combo it will come with crispy french fries or your choice of side and with any sized fountain drink.

Week 7: Golden Ox Breakfast

This past weekend I went to a small restaurant named Golden Ox which is located in the city of  Fullerton, California. I went there for breakfast and ordered a the hotcakes combo which has two pancakes, your style of egg, two sausages, and with  your choice of drink. The great things about this meal is that the pancakes are very big they are the size of half the plate. They have great service because the people there are nice and friendly. The only negative thing about the Golden Ox restaurant was that it is pretty small even with a big families because their is only two family sized seats and only two additional chairs. Plus the cost for the combo was $4 close to $5. However in my opinion the hotcake breakfast combo there was a great taste especially the pancakes for their big size and it will get you full after you are done.

Week 6: In N Out Double-Double

On Sunday I went with my parents to In N Out which is a fast food resturant that they sell in my opionon the best hamburgers that I have ever tasted. The meal I ate was the Double Double which has two patties with slices of cheese, lettuce, you can order it with or without onion, their secret sauce on two freshly buns. The burger came with fresh cut french fries and a fountain drink. The cost for this burger is up to three dollars while the french fries are about $1.25. I believe that these burgers are the best in the buisness because you can have the taste of fresh ingredients. Also eating a Double Double is better than eating the Cheeseburger because you can taste the patty more than the Cheeseburger oviously from the two patties. These hamburgers are also have a great taste for the price.

Week 5: Carl's Jr's Super Bacon Six Dollar Burger

This past weekend I went to a Carl's Jr and got the Super Bacon Six Dollar Burger. To me the burger tasted pretty salty from  the bacon and it was pretty burnt. Then on my burger I got more lettuce then meat on it, also the burger comes with a bacon, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, on a charbroiled beef patties which are on two buns. The burger comes in solo or in a combo with the burger, side items, and a fountain drink. All the Carl's that I have been to are all clean in sanitary and they have a good service. In my opinion this burger isn't what its worth because its to the bacon is to salty and burnt. Some of the story behind the burger was from the Superman Movie (Man of Steel). The burger cost by itself  $3.99, but a little bit more on a combo. So this burger also has a lot more calories because the salty bacon and the charbroiled burger.

Week 4: Super Torta's Torta

This past Sunday I went to a small restaurant called Super Torta which is a small Mexican Restaurant in Anaheim by a Toyota Dealer. I had ordered a Chorizo Torta which had inside of the torta it had a lettuce, mayonnaise, tomatoes, and chorizo in a bread roll which they call a "bolillo" in Spanish. The torta was okay because I have tasted better, the reason was that the chorizo tasted a bit too salty and the bread was kind of burnt towards the bottom of the bread. Otherwise the vegetables tasted fresh and the torta had a cost of $5.25 which came with a fountain drink on the side. The restaurant was pretty small, but clean from the floor to the tables. In my opinion the torta that I ate was okay maybe a 6 out of 10 because it was salty and the bread was burnt from the end. The restaurant does also sell other Mexican dishes not only tortas.

Week 3: Portillo's Hot Dog

This weekend I went to a restaurant called Portillos in  Buena Park by the Buena Park Mall. There I got the Chicago Dog which had yellow mustard, a slice of a pickle, sliced tomatoes, diced onions, and spicy peppers on a sesame seed hot dog bun with of course the hot dog in it. The hot dog had a good taste to it especially if you take a bite out of the peppers because they are spicy. The only thing about it is sometimes the condiments fall off like the peppers or onions. Then the hot dog buns gets soggy if you take it to go or if you take a while to eat it. The hot dog costed from 3 to 4 dollars, the only reason is that they don't sell it in a meal because the drinks cost $1.99 and the fries cost  $1.09 depending on the size. But the hot dogs are good and have a delicious taste to the because of all the fresh cut toppings on them and the nice warm hot dog.

Week 2: Taco Bell's Steak XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito

This past Saturday night I went to the same  Taco Bell as last week, but this time I got the Steak XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito. The burrito had grilled steak, diced tomatoes,  a three cheese blend, premium Latin rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla. In my opinion I loved this burrito because it had a great taste to it and when I was half way I was already full. The stuffed burrito has a cost of $5.69 which also comes with a crunchy taco and a soft drink. This burrito is too big to finish because you have to eat the big burrito and then the crunchy taco to top it off. This burrito is really thick and I gotta say it was pretty heavy for that size of a burrito because it has a lot of food crammed into a soft flour tortilla.  The XXL Burrito meal has a great deal for the economy right now.

Week 1: Taco Bell's Dorritos Locos Taco

This Sunday after my baseball game I dropped by with my parents to  the fast food restaurant named Taco Bell in Fullerton. There I ate the new Fiery Doritos Locos Taco which is a new series added to the Doritos Tacos and it had ground beef, cream cheese, strips of lettuce, cubed tomatoes, and yellow cheese on a hard taco shell with red spicy powder on it. It had a great taste for my taste buds because it had a spicy and hint of lemony taste on it and in my opinion it was better than the other two tacos that Taco Bell came out with for the Doritos series. This crunchy taco is worth $1.69 by itself, but you can also get the Fiery in a meal with the Fiery Locos Tacos Box that comes with bean burrito, regular hard shell taco, and the one and only Fiery Doritos with a soft drink on the side.
